It’s easy to wax poetic about the picturesque jacaranda trees with their frondy leaves and canopy of violet flowers. Although not native to Chile, they dot our district’s streets and local parks. An artist’s dream in late spring. Lift your gaze to the jacarandas for heavenly inspiration but look beneath for earthy pleasures. Its crunchy seed pods are a child’s delight. I’m 49 going on 5, stomping my way through the park.
