The trash cans peppered around our district parks and streets recently started sporting Barbie-pink trash bags. My daughter loves them and, I admit, they do offer a splash of color to the landscape. But I can’t help wondering—were the pink bags a wholesale deal? Or does someone on the municipal waste task force have a whimsical soul?
